What PICA Learned at WEFTEC

PICA Corp.'s President, Dave Russell, has recently attended three important conferences on behalf of the company. First, he attended the Water Environment Federation (WEFTEC) Conference in New Orleans, LA from September 24-28 and then he attended Western Canada Water (WCW) Conference in Calgary, AB from October 4-7 followed by World Water Tech, North America in Toronto, Ontario, October 18-20.

It was a whirlwind, but Dave stresses that it is "extremely important for PICA to attend these events because it brings a group of individuals together who work in the industry and have common interests. Everyone there is a stakeholder in water and wastewater management, and it allows us to make contacts with these individuals and companies which benefits our business as a whole."

He is proud that PICA was mentioned in three papers at WCW that described how PICA's technology and services were used to their benefit. He also had opportunities to network with potential local customers from across Canada.

Dave was also pleased with the results of attending WEFTEC. He had many inquiries from high-level decision makers at water and wastewater management organizations that inquired about PICA's services at our exhibition booth. We will be sending out some quotations and will be working with some contacts from these conferences. We also hosted a breakfast and presentation, in partnership with Syrinix, which attracted 38 people. Despite his hard work, Dave managed to find some time to have some fun and go on a horse-drawn carriage ride through the French Quarter and a visit to the House of Blues for the famous Gospel Sunday brunch while in New Orleans.
